MBBS
The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is the foundational undergraduate medical degree offered at Coimbatore Medical College. It is a 5.5-year program, which includes 4.5 years of academic study followed by a 1-year compulsory rotating internship in various clinical departments.
Course Focus:
The MBBS curriculum integrates both theoretical and practical knowledge across pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical disciplines. It includes:
Pre-clinical subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry.
Para-clinical subjects such as Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine.
