MBBS/BDS Admission Process – Tamil Nadu (2024–2025)
1.Online Registration
Visit the official website: www.tnmedicalselection.org
Click on the “Apply Online for MBBS/BDS 2024–2025” link.
Candidates must fill separate online applications for:
Government Quota
Management Quota
2.Application Completion
Complete all mandatory fields in the application form.
Upload the required supporting documents such as certificates, ID proofs, NEET scorecard, etc.
3.Application Fee Payment
Online application fees must be paid during submission:
₹500 for Government Quota (No fee for SC, SCA, ST categories)
₹1000 for Management Quota
4. Registration Fee
A non-refundable registration fee is applicable:
₹500 for Government Quota
₹1000 for Management Quota
5. Security Deposit
Candidates must pay a refundable security deposit:
₹30,000 for Government Quota
₹1,00,000 for Management Quota
(Refundable if seat not allotted or joined as per the Prospectus Clause)
6. Merit List Publication
After scrutiny of applications, the merit lists will be published on the official website. These include:

7. Online Counselling – Round 1
Based on the merit list, eligible candidates will participate in online counselling.
Candidates will:
Log in and lock their college/course choices.
Be allotted seats based on merit + reservation rules.
Round 1 Outcomes:
Allotted:
Pay tuition fee (after fee fixation)
Download Provisional Allotment Order
Report to the allotted college and complete admission formalities
Not Allotted:
Move to Round 2 (No need to pay processing/security fee again)
8. Online Counselling – Round 2
Vacant seats from Round 1 are displayed.
Round 1 choices are null and void.
Candidates must submit fresh choices for Round 2.
Round 2 Outcomes:
Allotted:
If Joined: Pay tuition fee and report to college.
If Not Joined: Considered a "free exit", no penalty.
Not Allotted:
Move to the next round (if available).
9. Mop-Up Round (Round 3)
Conducted to fill remaining vacant seats after Round 2.
Round 3 Outcomes:
Allotted Candidates:
Must report and join the college after paying tuition fee.
If Not Joined:
Candidate must forfeit the security deposit, tuition fee, and pay a discontinuation fee.
Candidate becomes ineligible for further rounds.
10. Stray Vacancy Round (Round 4)
Conducted offline by the Selection Committee, as per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and MCC guidelines.
Round 4 Outcomes:
Allotted Candidates:
Must report and join the allotted college.
If Not Joined:
Candidate must forfeit the security deposit, tuition fee, and discontinuation fee.
Candidate will be barred from participating in next year’s UG counselling.
PG Admission Process – Tamil Nadu
1. Admission Notification
Admission notification for PG Degree/Diploma courses will be released on official websites:

Candidates must complete the online application form.
Upload all mandatory documents including NEET-PG credentials, certificates, ID proof, and community/nativity proof if applicable.
Ensure the application is fully filled and accurate—incomplete or false entries will lead to rejection.
3. Payment of Fees
Application Fee: ₹3000 (SC/SCA/ST candidates from Tamil Nadu are exempted).
Registration Fee for Counselling: ₹1000 (non-refundable).
Payment to be made via online modes only.
4. Security Deposit
Government Medical Colleges: ₹30,000
Government Quota in Self-Financing Colleges: ₹1,00,000
(Refundable if no seat is allotted in any round. Non-refundable if candidate discontinues.)
5.Rank List Publication
Merit list prepared based on NEET-PG scores.
Additional marks for in-service candidates in remote/difficult areas, as per policy.
Rank list published on official websites.
6. Online Counselling
Round 1
Candidates lock their choices online.
Seats allotted based on rank, choices, and reservation.
If Allotted:
Pay tuition fee.
Report to allotted college with documents.
If Not Joined/Resigned within the allowed period: Eligible for next round.
💠 Round 2
Vacant and new seats are shown.
Fresh choice filling required.
If Joined & Resigned After Deadline: Not eligible for further rounds. Penalty applies.
💠 Round 3 (Mop-up Round)
For remaining vacancies.
Once Allotted:
Must join and continue the course.
No further round eligibility if not joined.
Discontinuation results in full penalty and fee forfeiture.
💠 Stray Vacancy Round
Conducted for unfilled seats at the end.
Only candidates without allotment in previous rounds are eligible.
Once Allotted:
Must join without fail.
Withdrawal leads to disqualification from future admissions and full penalty.
7. Admission Confirmation
Candidates download their Provisional Allotment Order.
Report to the allotted college with original certificates for verification and admission.
B.Sc Nursing & B.Sc MLT Admission Process – 2024-2025
1. Eligibility Criteria
a. Nationality & Nativity
Must be a citizen of India.
Must be a native of Tamil Nadu.
Nativity Certificate required if you studied outside Tamil Nadu.
Other State candidates can apply only under Open Category (OC).
b. Age Limit (as on 31st December 2024)
Minimum Age: 17 years (common to all).
Maximum Age:
OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC: 30 years
SC/SCA/ST: 35 years
Relaxation of 15 days allowed if born a few days late.
c. Educational Qualification
Must have passed 12th standard with:
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany and Zoology).
English as one of the subjects.
Minimum Aggregate Marks:
B.Sc Nursing:
OC: 45%
BC/BCM/MBC/DNC/SC/SCA/ST: 40%
B.Sc MLT: Same criteria apply.

3. Merit List Preparation
Merit list is based on marks in Biology, Physics, Chemistry (or Maths) normalized to 200 marks.
Either:
Biology + (Physics + Chemistry), or
Botany & Zoology + (Physics + Chemistry), or
Maths + (Physics + Chemistry)

❗ Only candidates who join in the 1st round can participate in the next rounds for re-allotment.

Government Colleges – Full government quota.

7. Important Notes
Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
Any false documents will lead to cancellation & legal action.
No re-allotment allowed within self-financing colleges.
No mutual transfer is allowed.
Diploma in Nursing Admission Process (2024–2025)
1. Check Eligibility
Basic Eligibility:
You must be a female candidate (including third gender identifying as female).
Must be an Indian citizen and a native of Tamil Nadu.
Must have completed 17 years and should not exceed 35 years as of 31-12-2024.
Education Qualification:
Passed 10th + 12th (HSC) or equivalent.
Studied Tamil as the first language.
Subjects in HSC:
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology (preferred)
Vocational Nursing or Foundation Science
Minimum Marks:
OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC – 40% aggregate in relevant subjects.
SC/SCA/ST – Pass is sufficient.
2.Get Documents Ready
Prepare clear scanned copies (in PDF/JPEG) of the following original documents:
10th and 12th Mark Sheets
Transfer Certificate
Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
Community Certificate (for BC/MBC/SC/ST categories)
Special Category Certificates (if claiming: Ex-Servicemen, Sports, Disability)
Study Certificate (from 6th to 12th standard)
Recent Passport-size Photo
Disability Certificate (if applicable)
3.Fill Online Application
Go to the official websites:
Click on “Diploma in Nursing 2024–25” → “Apply Online”
Fill out the form carefully:
Personal details
Educational details
Upload scanned documents
Pay the application fee of ₹300 online via bank portal.
Submit the form.
Save and take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
4.If You Can’t Access Online Form
If you can’t fill it online, go in person with your parent/guardian and original certificates to the nearest facilitation center:

Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Chidambaram
They will help you register and upload your documents.
5.Wait for Merit List
Your marks will be normalized (adjusted across different boards).
The merit list will be published on:
6.Online Counselling
Pay counselling fee of ₹250 online to participate.
Select your preferred colleges and course (choice filling).
Based on merit and reservation, you’ll be allotted a seat.
Download the allotment order.
7.Reporting to College
Report in person to the allotted college with all original certificates and copies on the date mentioned in the allotment order.
Failing to report means you’ll lose the seat.
8.Admission Confirmation
You will be admitted and begin the course as per college schedule.
If allotted a stipend category, you’ll receive:
₹600/month (1st year)
₹700/month (2nd year)
₹800/month (3rd year and internship)
